Biography
Kristen Tamburro has been teaching since 2016. She earned her BA from Connecticut College and her Masters in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Kristen has taught middle school English in public, private, and charter schools. She is passionate about cultivating a love of reading in her classroom as well as teaching students how to think critically through analytical writing and close examination of texts. Kristen has tutored for many years and has worked with students from 4th-12th grade in the areas of: reading support, writing support, homework help, test preparation, essay editing, and executive functioning development. Kristen strives to build rapport with each student she works with and to tailor each session to meet each individual’s learning goals. In addition to her work in education, Kristen is an avid reader, gym enthusiast, and world traveler.
